Inter coach Claudio Ranieri has declared that Wesley Sneijder will not be leaving San Siro during the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old cheap jerseyhas been repeatedly linked with Manchester United over the past six months but Ranieri insists that Sneijder is going nowhere.
“He is an Inter player and he will remain with us,” Ranieri declared during a press conference on Friday.
The Nerazzurri are reportedly not interested in exercising their option to make Mauro Zarate's loan deal permanent at the end of the season but Ranieri is in no mood to give up on the enigmatic Argentine.
“I rate him highly and I hope that he can do well for Inter,” the former Chelsea boss said. “He is a player who has it all but at times his brain stops and he needs a shock.”
Ranieri believes that winger Ricardo Alvarez, who has proven similarly inconsistent this season, will also come good for the Nerazzurri.
“He is young and needs to adapt,” the Roman explained. “You know what I think of this boy: he has a great future but masuper bowl jerseyybe he is not yet completely ready. But it will certainly happen for him.”
Inter, who has risen to fifth in Serie A after a dreadful start to the season, return to league action after the winter break with a game against Parma at the Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday.
